“Go to the limits of your longing!” Rainer Maria Rilke
Each of us has deeper longings that we hope to fulfill, yet life keeps distracting us from our higher purpose. NOW is always the time. Gift yourself the time to explore your creative possibilities in these upcoming workshops. You can join one or both workshops to go deeper into the process.
We will dive in and immerse ourselves in all kinds of playful painting and mark making. No experience is necessary. I will be teaching lots of techniques in abstract painting using water based paints, photo transfer and collage, various mark making techniques, color, composition and gel printing. And most importantly, I will guide each student in the direction of their unique expression.
We will shine a light on our deepest longings, and fearlessly explore our unique voices. Through simple guided exercises, increased awareness, and lots of demos, we will find the focus, curiosity and courage to create our own mixed media artworks.

TESTIMONIALS FROM PREVIOUS WORKSHOPS:
"One of the very best art workshops I've EVER taken! Amy is a most generous and authentic teacher. She is fearless and gave lots of helpful hints on how to be brave and daring in our own artwork. She was generous, sympathetic and encouraging to all throughout the workshop, and I came away truly feeling transformed in how I will now approach my own mixed media work. Thanks so much, Amy!” Paula Hagar
“Amy’s teachings are a wonderful mix of inspiration, guidance, and support to find our own way. Starting with meditative moments to find our inner quiet, we begin painting with a sense of freedom and abandon which Amy calls “following the subtle beckoning.” We continue in this wild dance, experimenting and playing, listening and refining, until we come to a sense of completion. Amy opened the doors to my own Creativity in a vital and important way for which I am deeply and eternally grateful.” Lynne Foote
“Amy is a wealth of knowledge and she will share it all with you without reservation. If you want your art to improve and your confidence to soar do yourself a favor and work with Amy. You will be amazed at the results!” Laura Rose
"I and many others I know have studied with Amy over the years. I highly recommend her as an open hearted, deep spirited, wise and most skillful teacher. The quality of people who attend her class always make it a wonderful community.” M. King
"I absolutely loved the class. I’m incredibly grateful for you and the creativity that you bring to the world!” J. Ferrante
“Amy is a warm and delightful creativity wizard, inspiring and encouraging each student to discover and refine their own style and expression no matter what their “level” of experience. Her well-crafted teaching and demo segments were in perfect balance with the longer periods of quiet work on our own, while she was always available for individual guidance. Just the jump start I needed!” Judith Ansara
“Amy’s workshop reopened the doors for me to again explore the world of abstract acrylic painting. I feel like she lit a candle in me and now this light is calling me into new explorations. Amy’s feedback helped me to see how I could bring some order, and composition, out of the chaos. Her teaching style invites us to trust our own unique process, gives us a way to access it, and shows us how to create pieces of art that come from deep listening. I appreciate how she also gave us good basic teachings on color, composition, mixed media, and mark making. Amy’s encouragement is based on working with what is arising and not on whether it is good or bad. This environment of non-judgment quiets the Inner Critic so that the Inner Child can play. I had fun, I am inspired. I cannot wait for her next workshop!” Lynne F
